Professional career, training and experience at the service of rigorous and independent advice

Francisco Javier Martínez Urigüen y Martínez de Carnero holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto (ESTE, San Sebastián), is a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of the Official Register of Auditors (ROAC), as well as a member of the Register of Accounting Experts (REC). He has furthered his education with a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management and has completed various executive management and strategy programs at ICADE and ESIC.

Coming from a family in La Rioja with an industrial tradition (Imprenta Moderna), he has developed a professional career of more than four decades in auditing, economic-financial advice and business management, combining technical rigor and practical experience.

He began his career at international audit firms such as Horwath & Horwath and Coopers & Lybrand, and subsequently held management positions as an administrative and financial controller and managing director in industrial companies, with a particular focus on internationalization processes and efficiency improvements.

In 2006, he began his independent professional practice in the field of auditing, which led to the creation of AuditAbe Auditores & Consultores. In 2025, after selling his stake, he embarked on a new professional chapter with the creation of AbeMart, focused on strategic, economic, and financial advisory services.

Throughout his career, he has worked closely with owners, management teams, and governing bodies, especially in industrial companies and demanding business environments, providing independent judgment and direct support in key decision-making processes. At AbeMart, he maintains a personal commitment to all projects.
